Christina Andersen-Sinelli
Charge Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department
Christina is an Army Veteran who served on active duty from 1998-2002 and inactive duty from 2002-2006.
She was awarded a four-year Army ROTC Nursing Scholarship that was presented at her high school graduation. It was the largest scholarship awarded in the history of Au Gres-Sims High School. She attended Grand Canyon University for her nursing degree and Arizona State University for ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps) Program. Christina was the first female in the Arizona State University Desert Rangers program and was one of two cadets from the GCU/ASU program selected to attend Airborne school in 1994. She earned airborne wings on the 50th Anniversary of D-Day. Christina was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps at her nursing pinning ceremony and attended Officer Basic Course in San Antonio, TX. Her first duty assignment was at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA. She was selected to attend the OB/GYN specialty course at Tripler Army Medical Center, Oahu, HI for a four-month program and was an honor grad for the course. Christina was promoted to Captain at Ft. Polk, LA for the remainder of Active Duty time, where she delivered her first born at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital. She returned to Madigan Army Medical Center as a Government Service Employee for two more years. Christina met her husband, Andrew Sinelli, during her ROTC training. He served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Qatar, during the first year of their daughter’s life. Andrew continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Engineer Corps, US Army Reserves.
Christina is a charge nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department and has been at Mountain Vista Medical Center since it opened in 2007.
