The Boston Breakers announced this Spring that they have entered into an agreement with Steward Health Care System (Steward), extending Steward as the exclusive title sponsor of the Breakers for the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons. Steward is the largest community-based health care network in Massachusetts.
Additionally, Steward St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center of Boston will continue to be known as the official hospital of the Boston Breakers and will be the official MRI and imaging partner of the Breakers.
“We are delighted that we have extended and expanded our relationship with Steward and are proud to wear the name of a company with such high standing within New England on our uniforms,” said Boston Breakers President of Business Operations Mark Thomas.
The Steward logo, which has been seen on Breakers jerseys since 2014, will appear on the front of Breakers home and away jerseys as well as on the front of the jerseys of the of the Boston Breakers Reserves and College Academy teams. The logo also will appear on the sleeves of the Boston Breakers Academy teams, the back of the Breakers pro team’s warm-up shirts, on the front of walkout and appearance jackets, and on coach’s apparel.
As part of the deal, Steward will sponsor the Most Valuable Player of all home games and will donate $1,000 to a charity of the MVP’s choice and will become the Official Sponsor of the Pillars of Excellence.
