When people work full -time they often start their day early, work long hours, and once home, have an unending list of things to do making the desire to get into shape seem like an unachievable dream.

Here are some ways to fit small exercise routines into your work day:

  • Park your car as far away as you can in the parking lot
  • Use the stairs whenever possible
  • Keep walking shoes or sneakers at your desk for 10-minute stairwell workouts during breaks
  • Go for a brisk walk during your lunch break
  • If the weather is poor, map a walk within your building or complex
  • Incorporate stretching and in-place exercises such as wall push-ups and squats into breaks
  • Keep a pair of sneakers in your car and go for a 10 minute walk before driving home
